This advanced radar sensor detects obstructions over a configurable range of 1 ft. to 30 ft. (0.3 – 10 m), with a precision measurement down to 0.04″ (1 mm). Its microwave beam performs reliably even in harsh environments, unaffected by rain, snow, ice, or fog.

The MRD-1P features flexible relay outputs for pulse-on-entry and pulse-on-exit signaling, along with a fully featured menu for deeper customization using its intuitive pushbuttons and 3-digit display. Installation is made simple with visual beam shape guidance and a detachable screw terminal block for ease of wiring.

Key Features

Single-Sided and Dependable

The MRD-1P uses RADAR technology to sense the target with no need for additional equipment on the other side of the lane. The microwave beam is unaffected by rain, snow, ice, fog, and sunlight.

Easy Configuration

A 3-digit display provides a simple user interface to set the detection distance and configure other features, including Pulse On Exit, Fail Safe/Secure, and more.

Ball and Socket Bracket

The ball and socket bracket offers versatile positioning options for a seamless and secure setup.

User-Programmable Range 

The detection distance is programmable up to a maximum of 30ft (9.1m). The sensor will ignore any objects outside of the programmed detection distance.

½ Inch Conduit Connection

The ½ inch conduit connection ensures a reliable and sturdy link for a safe and dependable installation.

Form C Presence Relay

A dry contact relay featuring Normally Closed, Normally Open, and Common Terminals provides the Presence output signal. Additional Pulse On Entry/Exit outputs are also provided (Normally Closed and Normally Open).

Relay outputs include

• Presence Relay: NC terminal opens when an obstruction is present, NO terminal closes when an obstruction is present
• Pulse Relay: Configurable for Pulse on Entry, Pulse on Exit, or none
• Configurable hold and pulse times
